US Lacrosse today announced the 108-player tryout pool for the 2015-16 U.S. Women’s National Team, with tryouts to be held from June 12-14 at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Md. Eight of the players have America East ties, including four current student-athletes and four alums.

These eight players include Albany's Maureen Keggins, Rachel Bowles and Ariana Parker, Stony Brook's Dorrien Van Dyke, Kristin Yevoli, Alyssa Fleming and Maegan Meritz and Boston University's Danielle Etrasco.

All four Stony Brook student-athletes will be returning to the Seawolves next year. Meritz was the 2015 America East Defensive Player of the Year, while Van Dyke and Fleming were All-Conference First Team honorees.

Albany's Keggins and Bowles are recent graduates and were both All-Conference First Team selections this year. Keggins also was honored as the America East Offensive Player of the Year. Parker is a 2014 grad and was an First Team All-Conference selection as a senior.

Boston University's Etrasco was the America East Player of the Year in 2011 and was also a member of the 2013 FIL World Cup team that won the gold medal in Oshawa, Ontario.

After the three-day tryout, approximately 36-40 players will be selected to the 2015-16 U.S. Women’s National Team, which will train in the lead-up to the 2017 Federation of International Lacrosse (FIL) Women’s World Cup in Guildford, England. Ultimately, 18 players will represent the U.S. as the team goes for a third consecutive and eighth overall world title.
