Nine America East women's lacrosse student-athletes were named to Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches' Association All-Region Teams, the organization announced on Monday.
Six of the nine student-athletes were named to the first team in their respective regions with three named to the second team. America East champion, Stony Brook (18-2), led the way with four honorees, followed by Albany with three and Vermont with two.
Stony Brook had three student-athletes named to the Mid-Atlantic Region First Team, including junior Maegan Meritz, freshman Kylie Ohlmiller and sophomore Dorrien Van Dyke. Sophomore Courtney Murphy was named to the second team. Ohlmiller was the America East Rookie of the Year, while Meritz was the Defensive Player of the Year as the Seawolves finished the season with 18 wins including five over top-20 teams.
Albany junior Rachel Bowles and senior Maureen Keggins were both named to the Northeast Region First Team while Dakotah Savitcheff earned a second team selection. Keggins was the America East Offensive Player of the Year, breaking the conference single-season points record with 41 in six games.
Vermont senior Jessica Roach also earned a first team nod while junior Vanessa VanderZalm took a spot on the second team. Roach broke the program single-season scoring record this season.
