STONY BROOK, N.Y. - After capturing their third-straight America East tournament title and putting together one of the best season's in conference history, the Stony Brook women's lacrosse team earned the right to host an NCAA second round game on Sunday, and will welcome Princeton at noon for a game that will air live on AmericaEast.TV.

The Seawolves (18-1) are just the third team in America East history to be seeded in the NCAA tournament coming in at No. 6. It is the second-highest seeding ever for an America East women's lacrosse team behind Boston U. which was No. 3 in 2005.

Stony Brook enters the game with the second-best scoring defense in the country, allowing just 5.37 goals per game. With a win, the squad would become just the fourth team in conference history to advance to the NCAA quarterfinals.

The winner of Stony Brook/Princeton will face the winner of Duke/USC next weekend.
