BOSTON, Mass. - Stony Brook stands alone in first place in the America East standings with three conference games remaining in the regular season as the Seawolves hold a perfect 3-0 conference mark and an 11-0 overall record. Albany, Vermont and UMBC trail behind with one loss each. Here are the week eight award winners:

Offensive Player of the Week
Dorrien Van Dyke, Stony Brook, So., Northport, N.Y.

  • Led the league in goals per game (3.0) and ranked second in points per game (3.5) in a 2-0 week for the Seawolves.
  • Scored five goals and added an assist in a 15-2 win over Binghamton.
  • Added one goal in a 7-5 victory over No. 19/18 Albany.
  • Also contributed a pair of draw controls in the win over Albany.

Defensive Player of the Week
Maegan Meritz, Stony Brook, Jr., Farmingdale, N.Y.

  • Was part of a Stony Brook defense that allowed just 3.5 goals per game in a 2-0 week.
  • Had three ground balls and three caused turnovers in a win over Binghamton.
  • Shared game lead with two ground balls vs. Albany.
  • Helped hold Albany, the nation's highest-scoring offense, to just five goals and eight shots. It was the lowest goal total of the season for the Great Danes.

Rookie of the Week
Carolyn Jamison, UMBC, Fr., Westminster, Md.

  • Led all freshmen last week in goals per game (1.5) and points per game (2.0).
  • Scored three goals and had an assist in a 15-6 conference win over New Hampshire.
  • Finished the week with a .400 shooting percentage.

  • No. 9/8 Stony Brook is one of two remaining unbeaten teams in the country.
  • UMBC's win over UNH was the team's first on the road vs. the Wildcats in program history.
  • The Seawolves defeated Albany, 7-5, for the team's fifth-straight win over the Great Danes to take sole possession of first place.
  • Albany was No. 19 in both the IWLCA coaches' poll and Inside Lacrosse media poll as of March 30.
  • UNH's Laura McHoul moved into second on the program's all-time assist list with 93.
  • UNH senior midfielder Laura Puccia scored a career-high seven goals – all in the first half – at UMass Lowell; the seven points also marked a personal best. The seven goals was the most scored by a Wildcat since April 5, 2008 (Michaela Hardy).
  • Stony Brook has held 29 of its last 32 opponents to single-digit goals, including 10 of 11 this season.
  • Stony Brook's 12-11 win over No. 6/7 Florida was its first vs. a top-10 opponent in program history.
  • Albany has scored 20-plus goals four times this season.
  • Vermont head coach Jen Johnson became the program’s all-time winningest coach with her 77th career win at UVM vs. Sacred Heart.
