BOSTON - The America East women's lacrosse regular-season came to a close over the weekend and the conference tournament is set to begin Friday, May 1 at Stony Brook University. The Seawolves earned the No. 1 seed and are joined by No. 2 Albany, No. 3 Vermont and No. 4 UMBC. Vermont needed a win over New Hampshire to qualify for the tournament on the final day of the season, while Stony Brook completed its second unbeaten conference season in the last three years. Here are the week 11 award winners:
Offensive Player of the Week
Maureen Keggins, Albany, Sr., Watertown, N.Y. / Watertown
- Tied the America East single-game record with 11 points vs. UMBC, scoring six goals and dishing out five assists.
- The 11 points were the most for an America East player in a game since Albany's Katie Leland had 11 vs. UMBC on April 11, 2005.
- The 11 points helped Albany secure the No. 2 seed with a 20-5 win over UMBC.
Defensive Player of the Week
Maegan Meritz, Stony Brook, Jr., Farmingdale, N.Y. / Farmingdale
- Posted two ground balls and two caused turnovers in a 2-0 week for the Seawolves
- Helped the Stony Brook defense hold Hofstra to eight goals and UMass Lowell to one.
- Stony Brook has held opponents to under 10 goals in 16 of 17 games this season and 34 of 37
Rookie of the Week
Kylie Ohlmiller, Stony Brook, Fr., West Islip, N.Y. / West Islip
- Total six goals and seven assists in a 2-0 week for the Seawolves.
- Notched two goals and two assists in a 12-8 win over Hofstra.
- Posted a season-high nine points with four goals and five assists in a win over UMass Lowell.
- Ranks in the top-10 nationally in points per game among freshmen.

- As of April 20, Stony Brook was ranked 6th in the IWLCA poll and 5th in Inside Lacrosse. Albany was 19th in the IWLCA and 19th in Inside Lacrosse.
- Stony Brook is the first team in America East history to be the No. 1 seed in the tournament in three-straight seasons.
- UMBC reached the America East tournament for the first time since 2012 and will be the No. 4 seed.
- Vermont is heading to the conference tournament for the third-straight season after beating New Hampshire, 12-10, in the season's final game.
- UAlbany went a perfect 9-0 at home in the regular season for the first time all-time
- The 2015 version of Albany is officially the highest scoring offense in Dane history with 369 points so far
- Dakotah Savitcheff is the new UAlbany all-time single-season leader in goals with 58
- UNH senior attacker Kayleigh Hinkle climbed to No. 10 on UNH’s career points list during her six-point effort at Vermont. She leaves the program with 155 career points on 84 goals and 71 careers assists, which ranks fifth all-time.
- New Hampshire midfielder Laura Puccia, who scored four goals at UVM, leaves the program ranked No. 8 on UNH’s career goals leaderboard with 131.
- UMBC's three conference wins are the most for the program since 2012.
- The Seawolves' win over Northwestern was the first over a top-5 team in program history.
- Stony Brook has held 34 of its last 36 opponents to single-digit goals, including 16 of 17 this season.
- Vermont head coach Jen Johnson became the program’s all-time winningest coach with her 77th career win at UVM vs. Sacred Heart.
