Albany, Stony Brook, Vermont and Hartford will decide the 2015 America East men’s lacrosse title as the four teams will head to Albany for the conference championship next week. The tournament field and bracket were settled this weekend as Vermont and Hartford earned the final two bids while Albany secured its third-straight outright regular-season title.

The tournament, which will feature some of the top teams and players in the nation, will be held at UAlbany's Bob Ford Field, its state-of-the art football stadium, beginning with semifinal action on Thursday, April 30. Second-seeded Stony Brook, the 19th-ranked team in the country, faces third-seeded Vermont in the first semifinal 4:30 p.m. followed by No. 1 Albany, which is ranked seventh in both polls, battling No. 4 Hartford at 7:00 p.m. in the nightcap.

The two winners will face off for the league title on Saturday, May 2 at 10 a.m. with the winner earning a trip the NCAA Tournament, where America East teams have won four games since 2007.

#1 Albany (13-2, 6-0 AE)

  • Locked up the America East regular-season title outright with a 20-9 win over UMBC Saturday.
  • Seeded first for the third-consecutive year and sixth time overall.
  • Ranked 7th in both national polls.
  • Won 20 straight games against America East opponents.
  • Seeking third-straight America East title and seventh all time.

#2 Stony Brook (12-4, 5-1 AE)
  • Earned the No. 2 seed with a 9-8 overtime win at Hartford Friday.
  • Best seed since 2012.
  • Ranked 19th in both national polls.
  • Most victories since 2010 and one shy of program's Division I record.
  • Seeking first championship since 2012 and fourth in school history.

#3 Vermont (6-9, 4-2 AE)

  • Qualified for the tournament via Hartford's loss Friday and earned the No, 3 seed with a 14-13 win over Binghamton Saturday.
  • Appearing in the championship for the first time since 2010 and just the fourth time overall.
  • The four conference wins and No. 3 seed are bests in program history.
  • Aiming for first conference title game appearance and first league crown.

#4 Hartford (7-7, 3-3 AE)

  • Reached the tournament by virtue of Vermont's win over Binghamton Saturday.
  • Making its fourth tournament appearance in the last five years.
  • Won its lone league title in 2011.
