BOSTON - Stony Brook took over first place in the America East softball standings with a three-game sweep of Hartford over the weekend, while Maine swept UMass Lowell and Albany took two out of three from UMBC. Read about the results and weekly award winners here:

Player of the Week
Bria Green, Stony Brook - Sr., OF, Wheatley Heights, N.Y.
  • Had a slash line of .471/.550/1.118 for the week in leading Stony Brook to four wins in five games.
  • Hit three home runs, upping her league-leading total to 14.
  • Drove in nine runs and scored six.
  • Reached base eight times in 12 plate appearances in a three-game sweep over Hartford, driving in eight runs and scoring five.
  • This is Green's third Player of the Week honor of the season.

Pitcher of the Week
Alexis Bogdanovich, Maine - Sr., P, South Portland, Maine

  • Went 2-0 in a pair of appearances last week.
  • Struck out 21 hitters in 11 innings while giving up just seven hits and walking two.
  • Registered a 1.91 ERA.
  • Fired a one-hit shutout with 13 strikeouts against UMass Lowell on Saturday.
  • This is Bogdanovich's fourth award of the season.

Rookie of the Week
Eryyn Sobieski, Albany - Fr., P, Logan Township, N.J.

  • Went 1-1 with a 1.17 ERA last week.
  • Hurled a four-hit shutout in the rubber game of the three-game set vs. UMBC Sunday, a 1-0 Albany win.
  • Struck out eight in 12 innings and walked three.

  • Stony Brook swept Hartford by scores of 16-3, 8-0 and 12-0 to improve to a perfect 5-1 in league play and take over first place in the league standings.
  • The Seawolves are 12-5 since starting 4-7.
  • Maine swept UMass Lowell by scores of 7-0, 5-4 and 6-3.
  • Alexis Bogdanovich fired a one-hit shutout with 13 strikeouts in the series opener.
  • After UMBC took the series opener, 3-2, Albany swept Sunday's doubleheader 11-6 and 1-0.
  • Alexis Bogdanovich fired a complete-game two hit shutout with 10 strikeouts in the series opener, a 2-0 Maine win.
  • Binghamton hosts UMass Lowell in a makeup doubleheader Tuesday.
  • On the weekend, Maine hosts Stony Brook, Albany heads to Binghamton and Hartford takes on UMass Lowell.
