BOSTON - Albany secured the No. 1 seed for the America East Men's Lacrosse Championship for the third straight year Saturday as the Great Danes knocked off Binghamton to capture at least a share of the league's regular-season title. Read about last week's games and the weekly award winners:

Co-Player of the Week
Brody Eastwood, Stony Brook - Jr., Attack, Victoria, British Columbia

  • Scored 10 goals in Stony Brook's win over UMass Lowell Friday, which is tied for the second-most ever in an America East contest.
  • Added an assist for 11 total points.
  • Scored once in the Seawolves loss to Lehigh Sunday.
  • This is Eastwood's second-straight honor.

Co-Player of the Week
Justin Rosenberg, Vermont - Jr., Goalkeeper, Boyds, Md.

  • Stopped 18 of 28 shots he saw to lead Vermont to its first-ever win over UMBC.
  • Allowed just three second-half scores and made 10 stops after the break.
  • Stopped Nate Lewnes' game-tying attempt with 17 seconds left to presever the win.
Rookie of the Week
Ryan Vanderford, Hartford - Fr., Goalkeeper, Monclair, N.J.
  • Earned his second-straight weekly honor by stopping 13 UMass shots and allowing just eight goals in a 15-8 Hartford win.
  • The 13 saves tied his career high.
  • Held UMass scoreless for stretches of 16 and 22 minutes.
  • This is his third career award.

  • Albany secured at least a share of the America East regular-season title for the third-straight year with a 15-11 win at Binghamton Saturday.
  • Albany will be the No. 1 seed for the America East Championship.
  • The Great Danes will host the championship with semifinal action taking place on April 30 and the championship game on May 1.
  • Albany moved up one spot in the Inside Lacrosse Media Poll to #8.

  • Hartford recorded its first-ever win over UMass, a 15-8 victory, its fourth win in a row.
  • Albany leads the country averaging 17.6 goals per game.
  • Lyle Thompson's 6.8 points per game are the most in the country while Stony Brook's Mike Rooney is third (5.9 ppg).
  • Thompson tied Cornell's Rob Pannell for the all-time NCAA points record with 354.
  • Brody Eastwood ranks second averaging 3.9 goals per game.
