KANSAS CITY, Mo.- A pair of America East men's basketball standouts have been recognized for their play on the court this season as Stony Brook's Jameel Warney and Albany's Sam Rowley were tabbed All-District I selections by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Friday. Warney, the league's Player and Defensive Player of the Year, was a first-team choice, while Rowely picked up second-team honors.

Warney, America East's sixth repeat Player of the Year, led the conference in scoring (16.4 ppg), rebounding (11.7 rpg) and blocks (2.5) becoming the first player since Marqus Blakely in 2007-8 to lead the league in those three categories. The junior  tallied 24 double-doubles and grabbed 409 rebounds, both of which led Division I. He also earned first-team all-conference honors and was an All-Championship selection for the second-straight year.

RowlEy was a first-team All-America Esat selection after ranking third in the league in rebounds (7.6 rpg) and free throw percentage (.820). He was also fourth in scoring, averaging 13.9 points per game. Rowley led the Danes to their third consecutive NCAA appearance as America East Tournament champions, as well as the conference regular season crown.
