BOSTON - Inclement weather wiped out the first weekend of conference play over the weekend as three series were postponed. Doubleheaders will be rescheduled later in the season. Read about the weekly award winners here:

Player of the Week
Kelly Costello, Albany - Sr., OF, Saratoga Springs, N.Y.
  • Went 2-for-4 in a pair of wins for the Great Danes.
  • Had an RBI triple and a run scored in Albany's win over St. Peter's.
  • Had a hit and a run scored in a win over Green Bay.

Pitcher of the Week
Mackenzie Thompson, Albany - So., P, Eldersburg, Md.

  • Fired a three-hit shutout against St. Peter's.
  • Fanned three and walked just one.

Rookie of the Week
Emily Neal, UMBC - Fr., OF, Bear, Del.

  • Hit .500 (3-of-6) in four games last week.
  • Scored two runs.
  • Had a .double.

Notes

  • Albany (12-7) has won seven in a row.
  • UMBC split two games with Lafayette last week.
  • The Binghamton-Hartford, UMass Lowell-Stony Brook and Maine-UMBC series were all postponed. Doubleheaders will be rescheduled for later in the season.
  • This weekend, Albany hosts Stony Brook, Binghamton entertains UMass Lowell and Hartford heads to UMBC.
