BOSTON - Hartford, UMBC and Stony Brook each posted wins over the weekend and players from those three squads earned America East weekly honors as a result. Read about them and league notes below:

Co-Player of the Week
Connor Gordon, UMBC - So., GK, Bourne, Mass.
  • Stopped 13 of 18 shots he faced in UMBC's win over Richmond Saturday.
  • Registered a .722 save percentage against team averaging 11.3 goals per game coming in and receiving votes in the national poll.
  • Also had three ground balls.
Co-Player of the Week
Mike Rooney, Stony Brook - Sr., Midfielder, East Islip, N.Y.
  • Tallied a career-high eight points in Stony Brook's win over Fairfield Saturday.
  • Scored a goal and added a career-high seven assists.
  • The seven assists were the most for a Seawolf since 1995.
Rookie of the Week
Ryan Vanderford, Hartford - Fr., Goalkeeper, Montclair, N.J.
  • Made 12 saves and allowed just three quarters of action to lead Hartford to a win over Manhattan Saturday.
  • Allowed just five goals for a .706 save percentage.
  • Helped the Hawks hold the Jaspers scoreless of a 31:18 stretch.
Notes
  • UMBC outscored Richmond, which was receiving votes in all three national polls, 7-2, in the first half en route to a 9-5 win Saturday.
  • Jack Gannon tallied four points (3G, 1A) and Connor Gordon made 13 saves.
  • Mike Rooney racked up a goal and seven assists, the most for a Stony Brook player since 1995, to lead his team to a 10-9 win over Fairfield, which won 12 games last year.
  • The Seawolves are off to a 3-1 start.
  • Hartford drubbed Manhattan, 15-5, behind three goals and four assists from Adam Yee.
  • #8/7 Albany fell to #13/9 Cornell, 16-9, in Dallas despite two goals and two assists from Lyle Thompson, last year's Co-Tewaaratown Trophy winner.
  • Binghamton dropped a pair of games to Hobart and Cornell last week.
  • Vermont and UMass Lowell fell to Boston U. and Wagner, respectively.
