Heuser Named NFHCA Northeast Region Player of Year, 18 Tabbed All-Region

Albany’s Paula Heuser was named the Longstreth/NFHCA Northeast Region Player of the Year for the second-straight year on Wednesday Additionally, Heuser and 17 others were named NFHCA All-Region selections.

Heuser, a junior midfielder, finished 2015 ranked third nationally in points per game (3.59) and goals per game (1.55). She stands as the NCAA Division I active career leader in goals (80) as well as points (194). Heuser, the three-time America East Midfielder of the Year, scored 34 goals in 2015 to go with 12 assists. She was an America East All-Conference first-team selection for the third consecutive year in addition to her All-Championship team recognition.

Joining Heuser as first-team All-Northeast Region choices were teammates Anna Bottino and Jaclyn Hibbs, Maine's Danielle Aviani, Nicole Sevey and Sydney Veljacic and New Hampshire's Gianna Bensaia and Lindsey Nerbonne.

Albany's Laura Page, Maxi Primius and Fiori Van Rijswijk headed up the second-team Northeast Region choices along with Maine's Katie Bingle and New Hampshire's Meg Flatley. 

Sarah Helgeson and Maddie Secco from Stanford were first-team All-West Region selections while the Cardinal's Dulcie Davies, California's Clara Goni and Pacific's Savannah Burns were second-team choices.
