GREENWOOD, Ind. -- University of New Hampshire seniors Abby Brinkman and Cassidy Croci have both been named to the Capital One CoSIDA Division I Volleyball Academic All-District® First Team for District I, announced Thursday.

Brinkman, an outside hitter, earns her second-straight nod to the First Team. Croci, a middle blocker, merits her second First Team honor after being named to the organization's Second Team last season. She was tabbed to the First Team in 2013. The two Wildcats are the lone representatives from the America East named to the team.

The Capital One Academic All-District® Volleyball Team was selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). To be eligible, a student-athlete must be a varsity starter or key reserve, maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.30 on a scale of 4.00 and have achieved sophomore academic eligibility. CoSIDA will announce the Volleyball Division I Academic All-America® Team on Thursday, Dec. 10.

Brinkman has put forth a strong senior campaign, playing in 24 matches and 75 sets this season. She ranks third on the team in kills per set (2.17) and has reached double figures in the kills column five times. Posting double-digit kills in four of the last five matches, the senior slammed a season-high 15 kills in a four-set win against the University of Maryland, Baltimore County on Oct. 16.

Off the court, Brinkman studies speech pathology and boasts a 3.91 grade point average. She has been tabbed to the America East Commissioner's Honor Roll in every season and is a member of the Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society (2015) and the Health Professional Honor Society (2014-present). Brinkman has also served as the Alpha Epsilon Delta Secretary (2013-14) and works as a math tutor at Moharimet Elementary School (2013-present).

Croci is also looking to cap off a great collegiate career, appearing in 24 matches and 74 sets played in 2015. She paces the 'Cats in hitting percentage (.280) while ranking third in blocks per set (0.68) and fourth in kills per set (1.86). In the season-opener at Loyola Chicago on Aug. 28, the 6-foot senior turned in 12 kills and four blocks on the strength of a .321 hitting percentage.

A double major in business and international affairs, the two-time America East All-Academic Team honoree holds a 3.90 grade point during her time in Durham. Accepted into the honors college at UNH, Croci is a three-time recipient of the Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics Academic Excellence Award. A member of the President's Council, she also serves as Senior Class Secretary and was inducted into the Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society this past Spring.
