BOSTON - The 2015 America East field regular season wrapped up over the weekend as Albany and Maine shared the East Division crown and Pacific and Stanford split the West Division title. Those four teams will be joined by Cal, UC Davis and New Hampshire to comprise the conference tournament field. The championship takes place Nov. 5-8 at University at Albany. Here are the final weekly award winner of the 2015 season:

Player of the Week
Paula Heuser, Albany - Jr., Midfielder, Mochengladbach, Germany

  • Tallied 12 points in a single game last week, tallying five goals and two assists in a 9-3 win over UMass Lowell.
  • The 12 points and five goals both set new single-game standards for a conference game.
  • This is Heuser's sixth Player of the Week honor of the season and 10 of her career.

Defensive Player of the Week
Laura Pujade, Pacfic - Jr., Goalkeeper, Matadepera, Spain

  • Stopped 20 of 23 shots she faced last week for a 1.59 GAA and an .870 save percentage. 
  • Made five saves in a win over Cal Wednesday and kept her team close with #13 Stanford, making 15 stops in a 2-1 loss Friday.
  • This is Davies' second weekly honor of the season (Oct. 19).

Rookie of the Week
Melina Moore, Cal - Fr., Midfielder, Los Gatos, Calf. 

  • Scored four goals in a pair of games last week.
  • Tallied a hat trick against UC Davis Friday.
  • This is her second Rookie of the Week honor of the season (Sept. 8).

Notes

  • The 2015 America East Field Hockey Championship takes place Nov. 5-8 at University at Albany.
  • Albany and Maine split the league's East Division title while Stanford and Pacifc shared the West Division crown.
  • Maine's 17 wins match its program record set in 1996.
  • Albany's Paula Heuser ranks third nationally averaging 3.44 points per game. 
  • America East is joined by the ACC as the only conferences with three team nationally ranked (#8 Albany, #13 Stanford, #18 Maine).
  • America East teams are a combined 56-42 in non-conference action this season, including seven wins over ranked opponents.
  • Conference play concludes this week ahead of the America East Championship, which takes place Nov. 5-8 in Albany.
