DURHAM, N.H. - The 2015 America East Volleyball Championship begins Friday afternoon on the campus of the University of New Hampshire with two semifinal games. No. 2 Albany and No. 3 Stony Brook get things started at 4 p.m. followed by No. 1 New Hampshire and No. 4 Binghamton at 7 p.m. Both matches will be available for free on AmericaEast.TV.

Tournament Notes

  • New Hampshire joins Albany as the only team to host the tournament in three-straight seasons. The Great Danes did it twice from 2004-06 and from 2008-2012.
  • The No. 1 seed has advanced to the final 20 times in 24 years of the tournament. The last time the No. 1 seed did not advance was in 2005.
  • The No. 2 vs. No. 3 matchup has been even since the tournament moved to four teams in 1997, with each seed winning nine matches in 18 meetings.
  • This is the sixth time that all three SUNY schools have qualified for the tournament (2005-07, 2010, 2014-15)
  • The home team has won 15 titles with only six road teams winning since the tournament moved to the high-seed hosting in 1993.
