BOSTON - For the second time in three weeks, UMBC's terrific tandem of Emily Escobedo and Coco Darelius have swept America East weekly honors. 

Here is more on the third weekly award winners of the season.

Swimmer of the Week
Emily Escobedo, UMBC - Jr., New Rochelle, N.Y.

  • Won two individual events in a win over George Washington Saturday.
  • Took the 100 breast (1:04.09) and 200 breast (2:15.10) races.
  • Swam the second leg of the 200 medley relay, as the relay finished first with a time of 1:47.14.
  • On a pair of winning relay squads, ncluding the 200 medley (1:46.25) and 400 free (3:34.55).

Diver of the Week
Coco Darelius, UMBC - Sr., Rye, N.Y.

  • Qualifed for NCAA Zone competition for the fourthd straight year.
  • Scored a 242.17 on the 1 meter and a season-best 284.55 on the 3 meter, winning both events.

Notes

  • UMBC beat George Washington, 138.5-120.5, on Saturday.
  • Emily Escobedo won a pair individual events and two more relay victories to lead the way.
  • Coco Darelius qualified for NCAA Zone Championships for the fourth straight year.
