BOSTON, Mass. - Albany remains the lone unbeaten team in conference play at 7-0 and junior Shereesha Richards put together the best three-game stretch of an America East player this season to earn Player of the Week honors for the 13th time in her career. New Hampshire also continued its hot play, with freshman Carlie Pogue grabbing her third-straight Rookie of the Week award. Maine kept pace with the Wildcats at 6-1 in conference action heading into a head-to-head matchup this week. Here are the week 11 award winners:
Player of the Week
Shereesha Richards, Albany, Jr., F, Rae Town, Jamaica
- Led the conference in scoring (29.7 ppg), rebounding (9.7 rpg) and field goal percentage (57.6%) in a 3-0 week for the Great Danes.
- Posted 21 points and seven rebounds to start the week in a win over Stony Brook.
- Went for 28 points and 14 rebounds for her eighth double-double of the year in a win against UMBC. Shot 11-of-18 in the contest.
- Ended the week with a historic 39 point performance in a win against Hatrford, the second-highest single-game total in UAlbany history. Richards shot 17-of-24 in the game while also posting eight rebounds and three steals.
- Combined with teammate Imani Tate for 69 points vs. Hartford, the most for teammates in a single game in America East history.
- Has four career 30-point games, the most in Albany program history.
Rookie of the Week
Carlie Pogue, New Hampshire, Fr., C, Cincinnati, Ohio
- Averaged 14.0 points and 8.5 rebounds in a 2-0 week for the Wildcats to earn her third-straight Rookie of the Week honor.
- Recorded her fourth double-double of the season, scoring 18 points and grabbing 12 boards while adding a career-high five steals in a win over UMass Lowell.
- Registered 10 points, five rebounds and four blocks in a win at Hartford.

- Albany's Shereesha Richards (39 points) and Imani Tate (30 points) combined for 69 points vs. Hartford, the most by teammates in a single game in America East history.
- Maine’s Liz Wood became the first @BlackBearsWBB player to score 30 points since Ashley Underwood on 2/7/2007.

- Carlie Pogue's 17 rebounds were the most for an America East freshman since Binghamton's Jasbriell Swain on 2/2/11.
- The America East has three wins vs. Power 5 Conferences - 2 vs. Big Ten (Albany and Hartford def. Penn State) and one vs. ACC (Maine def. Boston College). It is the first time since 2009-10 the America East has three wins over Power 5 teams.
- The 29 points by Imani Watkins vs. Rider is the most points scored by a Bearcat player since Orla O'Reilly also scored 29 points against Siena on Nov. 15, 2011.
