Two America East standouts were named to the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association All-America Third Team, the organization announced today. The IWLCA honored 48 student-athletes with a selection to either the first team, second team or third team.

Caridi became the third Stony Brook women's lacrosse player to be named an IWLCA All-American. The nation’s leader in goals-against average (5.17) and save percentage (.542) for the second consecutive season, Caridi was one of three goalies nominated for the prestigious Tewaaraton Award. She was a unanimous first-team all-conference pick and the America East Defensive Player of the Year. The East Northport, N.Y., product was tabbed first-team All-Region Monday, May 12 and was America East Defensive Player of the Week a conference-record six times.

Lennon collected All-Region honors for the second-straight year. The senior draw control specialist finished the season with 82 draws to her credit and totaled 213 for her career. The defender ranks second in UAlbany program history in career draws, and is one of just two Great Danes all-time to win 200 or more. She ranked in the national top-15 all season in draw controls per game, and catapulted as high as 10th with 5.33 draws per game. Lennon was an All-Conference First Team selection for the second consecutive year after leading the league in draws per game. She is the first IWLCA All-American for the Great Danes since 2011.

The IWLCA will honor the National All-Americans at the IWLCA All-American banquet on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at the Radisson Hotel Valley Forge in King Prussia, Pa.
