Months of preparation have come to this as four teams invade LaValle Stadium in Stony Brook, N.Y. for a shot at becoming the 2014 America East Women's Lacrosse champion and a place in the NCAA tournament.

Top-seeded Stony Brook and No. 4 New Hampshire get things started at 5 pm, followed by No. 2 Albany and No. 3 Vermont at 7:30 pm. Both games will be available live for free on AmericaEast.TV with Mike Solano and Tracy Wiener-Provenz on the call. Preview both games below with links to watch live:

No. 1 Stony Brook (14-3, 4-1 AE) vs. No. 4 New Hampshire (7-9, 2-3 AE) - 5 pm

  • This is the first meeting in championship play between the Seawolves and the Wildcats.
  • The Wildcats own a  7-5 advantage all-time in the series, but Stony Brook has won three-straight including 15-5 this season.
  • UNH’s last win over the Seawolves came on April 16, 2011, when the Wildcats won, 12-6 in Durham.
  • The two teams have split six meetings at LaValle Stadium.
  • Stony Brook is 3-4 all-time in America East Championship action with one conference title coming in 2013.
  • New Hampshire is 8-14 in the playoffs with one conference title in 2004.

  • Albany and Vermont will meet for the first time in postseason play.
  • It is the 16th overall meeting between the Catamounts and the Great Danes with Albany holding a 14-1 advantage in the all-time series.
  • Vermont’s lone win in the series came in 2008, an 11-10 victory in Burlington.
  • The Catamounts are in search of their first-ever postseason win, going 0-6 in their previous tries.
  • Albany 6-8 in conference championship play with two tournament titles in 2011 and 2012. The Great Danes have advanced to the title game in each of the last three seasons.
