CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Just four of a possible nine America East softball awards were played last week and resulted in Maine sweeping the league's weekly awards:
Player of the Week
Kristen Koslosky, Jr., Second Base, Maine
- Went 4-for-6 (.667) and reached base five times in seven plate appearances as Maine swept a doubleheader from UMass Lowell Saturday.
- Scored four runs and drove in a run.
- Whacked two doubles and stole a pair of bases
Pitcher of the Week
Alexis Bogdanovich, Jr., Pitcher, Maine
- Won her only game last week by allowing just one run in a complete-game effort, Maine's 9-1 win over UMass Lowell Saturday.
- Allowed six hits and just one walk, while fanning a career-high 10.
Rookie of the Week
Felicia Lennon, Fr., Shortstop, Maine
- Went 4-for-9 (.444) and hit her first two career home runs against UMass Lowell last week.
- Drove in five runs and scored five times.
Around the League
- Stony Brook (12-12, 4-1 AE) swept a doubleheader from UMBC (20-11, 0-2 AE) Tuesday, winning a pair of one-run games 3-2 and 2-1.
- Maine (12-9, 4-1 AE) scored 21 runs in two games, sweeping a doubleheader from UMass Lowell (4-17, 0-2 AE) by scores of 9-1 and 12-9.
- The third game in each series was rained out.
- The Binghamton-Albany set was postponed. A doubleheader will be played April 8.
- This weekend UMBC visits Binghamton, Maine heads to Albany and Stony Brook welcomes Hartford for three-game series.
