Just three weekends of conference play in softball remain and teams are looking to make their push for America East Championship bids.

Here’s a look at the three weekend series:

UMass Lowell (8-26, 1-7 AE) at UMBC (24-16, 2-6 AE)

  • Both teams are coming off their first conference wins of the season as UMBC took two of three games from Maine last weekend while UMass Lowell beat Binghamton 6-4, in the opener of its series this week.
  • UMBC leads the conference averaging 5.2 runs per game and is second in team ERA (3.01).
  • This will be the first-ever meeting between the two teams.
  • UMBC's Taylor Hall ranks second among league leaders in hitting (.395) and leads in home runs (10) and RBI (38).
  • Brianna Martin is UMass Lowell's top hitter (.302), ranking in the league's top 20.
