The top-two seeds will meet for the America East women's basketball title on Monday afternoon at SEFCU Arena at 4 p.m. in front of a nationally televised audience on ESPNU.
No. 1 Albany (27-4) is in search of its third-straight title after knocking-off fifth-seeded Hartford in Sunday's semifial, 65-51. The Great Danes have won seven-straight tournament games and have won 45 of their last 46 America East contests including tournament games, with the lone loss coming against their title game opponent, Stony Brook.
No. 2 Stony Brook (24-7) will make just its second title game appearance in program history, with the first coming back in 2002. The Seawolves have tied a program record with 24 wins, while already setting its program Division I for victories this year. Stony Brook beat No. 3 New Hampshire, 79-59, in the semifinals and have won nine-staight games heading into the final.
