Albany Hosts Hartford on ESPN3 Friday Night

In a rematch of the 2013 America East women's basketball title game, Albany (20-3, 10-0) hosts Hartford (9-13, 6-3) on ESPN3 at 7 p.m. on Friday night.

The Great Danes are riding an 11-game winning streak and have won 33-straight conference regular-season contests which is tied for the longest current streak in the nation with Hampton. Albany has won its 10 conference games by an average of 30.2 points per game.

Hartford has won five-straight since starting conference play 1-3. During that stretch, three Hawks are averaging double figures, led by Amber Bepko's 12.8 points per game. Hartford also has a +6.0 turnover advantage during the win streak, forcing 17.8 turnovers per game.

In conjunction with the ESPN3 broadcast, Albany also will be hosting its annual Pink Out game to promote breast cancer awareness. Fans are encouraged to wear pink to promote breast cancer awareness.  The first 250 fans to the gate, which opens at 6 p.m., will get pink shirts, with the first 100 fans that enter wearing pink will get a slice of pizza courtesy of DC’s Pizza

On Thursday night, New Hampshire (14-8, 8-1) continued its historic start with a 46-35 win over UMBC. The Wildcats 8-1 record in America East play is the team's best nine-game conference stretch in program history. Kaylee Kilpatrick had a game-high 14 points to lead the Wildcats, helping UNH outscore UMBC 33-17 in the second half.
