Two Men's Hoops Games Sunday Including Hartford-UVM on ESPN3

The second-to-last weekend of the regular season concludes with two games Sunday, including Hartford visiting Vermont on ESPN3 at 2 p.m. Ed Cohen (play-by-play) and Frank Sullivan (analyst) will have the call.

Vermont (18-9, 12-1 AE) and Hartford (14-14, 8-5 AE) are the two hottest teams in the league with the Catamounts having won seven in a row and 14 of their last 15 games while the Hawks have won four in a row and seek their first five-game win streak since 2008. The two teams are the most efficent in the league offensively with UVM shooting a league-best 46.5 percent from the floor and Hartford shooting 46.2 percent. The Catamounts have dominated the series of late, winning 23 of the last 25 meetings, including a 67-60 win earlier this year. However, Hartford won at Patrick Gym last season.

Maine (5-20, 3-10 AE) will try to snap a four-game losing skid while Stony Brook (19-8, 11-2 AE) goes for its 11th win in 13 games. The game features the top two scoring teams in the league with the Black Bears averaging a league-best 72.5 points per game and the Seawolves scoring 72.3 ppg. With a win the Seawolves will earn its fourth 20-win season in the last five years. Stony Brook won the first meeting, 79-61, on Jan. 26.

On Saturday, road teams won both games with Binghamton and UMass Lowell posting wins.

Binghamton (7-20, 4-10 AE) used a 10-0 first-half run to build an 11-point lead and held off a late charge from UMBC (9-19, 5-10 AE) to win for the third time in its last four games, a 72-70 victory. Yosef Yacob scored a game-high 20 points for Binghamton while Rodney Elliott's 19 led the Retrievers.

UMass Lowell (9-18, 7-8 AE) held New Hampshire (6-21, 4-10 AE) to just 36 percent shooting en route to a 58-52 win. With the win the River Hawks secured no worse than a fifth-place finish in the league standings. Akeem Williams scored a game-high 25 points to lead UML while Chris Pelcher's double-double of 10 points and 12 boards paced UNH.
