Four America East women's basketball games tip-off on Saturday afternoon with only three playing dates left in the regular-season. The 2014 America East tournament will be played March 7-10 at Albany's SEFCU Arena.
New Hampshire (17-9, 11-2) and UMass Lowell (5-20, 4-10) get things started at 1 p.m. in a game that will be broadcast on Fox College Sports and AmericaEast.TV. The Wildcats stand in second place and are having their best season since 1998-99. UMass Lowell has won three of its last five and boasts three of the top five scorers in the conference in Shannon Samuels, Jasmine McRoy and Lindsey Doucette.
Hartford (10-16. 7-6) snapped a brief three-game skid last time out, and welcomes UMBC (3-23, 2-12) at 2 p.m. on AmericaEast.TV. The Hawks have won four-straight against the Retrievers, including, 65-55, earlier this season behind 16 points from Cherelle Moore.
Maine (14-12, 8-5) has had a 10-game turnaround from last season already and visits Stony Brook (19-7, 10-3) at 2 p.m. on AmericaEast.TV. While the Black Bears are experiencing a big turnaround, the Seawolves are in search of their second 20-win campaign in Division I program history, entering Saturday with 19 overall wins.
Binghamton (4-22, 1-12) and Vermont (6-20, 3-10) battle at 2 p.m. on CatamounTV to round out the Saturday schedule.
