Four Women's Basketball Games Scheduled Wednesday

Teams enter the last quarter of the conference season battling for seeding in the 2014 America East Women's Basketball Championship.

Albany (23-3, 13-0) puts its 36-game conference winning streak on the line against Binghamton (4-21, 1-11) at 7 p,m. A win would tie the Great Danes for the longest conference winning streak with Maine, which won 37-straight from 1995-97.

New Hampshure (16-9, 10-2) visits Vermont (6-19, 3-9) at 7 pm at Patrick Gym. The Wildcats are having one of their best season's in program history and hold a one-game lead on second place in the standings. The Catamounts are looking to snap a five-game skid and lean on the play of Kayla Burchill, who is averaging 21.0 points and 10.0 rebounds over her last two games.

Hartford (9-16, 6-6) is trying to snap a three-game losing streak when the Hawks battle UMass Lowell (5-19, 4-9) at 7 p.m. on AmericaEast.TV. Hartford won the first meeting between the two programs, 80-76, behind 19 points from Amber Bepko. Shannon Samuels is coming off a huge week for the River Hawks where she averaged 28.0 points per game.

Stony Brook (18-7, 9-3) is at UMBC (3-22, 2-11) at 7 p.m. on AmericaEast.TV. The Seawolves are two wins away from their first 20-win season since 2005-06. UMBC is coming off a win over Vermont and are led by freshman Sara Tarbert, who is fourth in the conference in scoring at 13.4 points per game.
