Hartford, UNH Battle for #AEWSOC Title Saturday

Top-seeded Hartford and No. 3 New Hampshire will battle for the 2014 America East women's soccer title on Saturday at 3 p.m. in West Hartford, Conn. The game will be broadcast live for free on AmericaEast.TV which is available on all PCs, laptops and mobile devices. Jon Vorsteeg & Shawn Mecchi will have the call.

Tournament Notes

  • This is the 6th meeting between the No. 3 & No. 1 seed in the America East title game with the No. 1 seeds 5-0-1 in those contests with one shootout win.
  • The last time the No. 1 and No. 3 seeds met was in 2011 when No. 1 Boston U. beat No. 3 Albany, 1-0.
  • The No. 3 seed has never won the America East title, going 0-6-1 in the America East final with one shootout loss.
  • The No. 1 seed has reached the America East final for the 18th-straight year and 20th time in 21 AE championships.
  • The No. 1 seed is 16-2-1 all-time in the final with 17 titles, with one final going to PKs.
