- Albany faces Wake Forest in the NCAA Field Hockey first round at 2 p.m. in College Park, Md.
- New Hampshire travels to Storrs, Conn., to battle UConn in the NCAA Women's Soccer 1st round at 5 p.m.
- The Stony Brook men's basketball team opened Island FCU Arena with a thrilling, 57-56, win over Columbia after a Rayshaun McGrew tip-in in the closing seconds.
- America East women's basketball teams went 4-3 to open the season with wins by Albany, Hartford, UMBC and New Hampshire.
