No. 6 Binghamton at No. 3 New Hampshire - 7 pm

  • New Hampshire topped Binghamton, 1-0, in the regular-season meeting behind a Caroline Murray unassisted goal in the 27th minute of play.
  • The Bearcats are 4-5-4 in the championship, with the team’s last win coming in 2011 when they beat New Hampshire, 1-0, in the quarterfinals. Binghamton won the 2004 tournament title.
  • New Hampshire has now appeared in 13 of the last 14 tournaments after missing last season. The team’s last win came in 2007 when the Wildcats beat Stony Brook in the semifinals. UNH’s last quarterfinal win came in 2006 against Binghamton.

  • Maine and Albany played to a, 1-1, draw on the final day of the regular-season. Charlene Achille scored a first-half goal for Maine while Kiana Rugar tied the game for Albany with less than 12 minutes to go in regulation.
  • Maine’s five ties are the most ever for a team in America East league play.
  • Albany led the conference in scoring, averaged 1.74 goals per game, while Maine led the America East during league play in goals against average at 0.33.
  • Maine has qualified for 11 of the last 12 America East tournaments, including advancing to the title game as a No. 6 seed in 2010. The Black Bears have not won a conference title.
  • Albany is in the tournament for the fourth time in the last five years after not qualifying last season. The Great Danes’ last win came in 2011, beating Vermont in the semifinals and eventually advancing to the title game as a No. 3 seed.
