Binghamton (3-11, 0-0) and UMBC (1-11, 0-0) open their conference seasons on Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Retrievers' RAC Arena as part of three America East women's basketball games on Saturday.

The Bearcats hold a 16-6 advantage in the all-time series against the Retrievers, including sweeping both matchups last year. Binghamton is also coming off back-to-back wins in the Dartmouth/Blue Sky Classic as Sherae Swinson was named tournament Most Outstanding Player. UMBC is looking to snap an 11-game skid and boast one of the top rookies in the league in Sara Tarbert who ranks fourth in scoring (13.5 ppg) and third in rebounding (7.1) in the conference.

Hartford (3-10, 1-0) hosts Dartmouth on AmericaEast.TV at 2 p.m. in its final non-conference game of the season. The Hawks have won eight-straight over the Big Green dating back to the 2003-04 season.

Albany (9-3) also plays its final non-conference game of the season, hitting the road to battle Northeastern at 2 p.m. Sophomore Shereesha Richards leads the conference with 22.9 points and 10.9 rebounds a game, shooting a conference-best 65.3% from the field and earning seven double-doubles this season.

New Hampshire (5-7) defeated Brown, 77-74, in overtime on Friday night behind career efforts from freshman Kristen Anderson and sophomore Elizabeth Belanger. Anderson poured in 30 points and grabbed eight rebounds, becoming the first America East freshman to score 30 in a game since Binghamton's Andrea Holmes scored 32 against Stony Brook on Jan. 19, 2009. Belanger added 20 points and nine rebounds as the pair scored two crucial buckets down the stretch to give the Wildcats the win.

With the game tied at 66 heading into OT, Anderson scored nine of her 30 points, including the game-winning basket in the final minute. UNH trailed, 74-71, before Belanger cut the deficit to one with a layup with 49 seconds left. After forcing a stop, Anderson converted on a layup to put the Wildcats on top, 75-74, with 10 seconds to go. UNH would force one more stop and Anderson hit 2 free throws with a second to go to seal the win.
