Four America East women's basketball games fill the schedule on Monday as the nation celebrates Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. All four games will be available live on AmericaEast.TV which can be accessed on mobile devices as well as laptops and PCs.
UMBC (2-15, 1-4) and Stony Brook (12-5, 3-1) start things off at 2 p.m. at Pritchard Gym. The Retrievers have won seven-straight over the Seawolves and lead the all-time series 12-10. Stony Brook is off to its best start in America East play since 2006-07 following a win over UMass Lowell on Saturday.
Three games tip at 7 p.m., including in-state rivals Albany (14-3, 4-0) and Binghamton (4-13, 1-3) at the Events Center. The Great Danes have won 27-straight America East regular-season games entering the contest and are led by Shereesha Richards, who leads the conference in scoring (23.2 ppg) and rebounds (11.0 rpg).
Hartford (4-13, 1-3) heads to UMass Lowell (2-14, 1-4) trying to snap a three-game conference losing streak. It will be the first meeting all-time between the two teams.
New Hampshire (9-7, 3-0) hosts (Vermont (5-12, 2-2) at Lundholm Gym at 7 p.m. The Wildcats are riding a five-game winning streak, their longest since 1998-99. Vermont snapped a seven-game losing streak last time out with a win over UMBC.
