Four America East men's lacrosse standouts earned USILA All-America honors Thursday, led by Albany's Lyle Thompson, a first-team selection, who also received the Lt. Col. J.L. Turnbull Award Friday, which is given to the nation's top attacker.

Joining Thompson as All-Americans were his teammate and brother, Miles Thompson, and cousin, Ty Thompson, as well as Stony Brook's Jeff Tundo. All three were honorable mention choices.

A sophomore attacker, Lyle Thompson, the America East Player of the Year, had one of the best seasons a collegiate player has ever had. The Tewaaraton Award finalist racked up 113 points on 50 goals and 63 assists, which set an America East single-season record and finished just one point shy of the NCAA all-time mark set by UMBC's Steve Marohl in 1992. He also led Albany to the America East title by tallying a championship-record 15 points in two games en route to earning Most Outstanding Player honors.

Miles and Ty were right behind Lyle in scoring. In just 12 games, Miles accumulated 73 points on 43 goals and 30 assists. A first-team all-America East standout, Thompson set America East single-game records with 14 points in a win over Stony Brook on April 27.

Ty, a junior attacker, led America East and ranks third in the nation with 54 goals and earned second-team all-league honors.

Tundo, a first-team all-conference midfielder for the second-straight year, paced Stony Brook with 36 goals and 27 assists.

The four selections increase America East men's lacrosse All-American total to 35 since 2007.
