CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Two America East standouts, Boston U. senior Danielle Etrasco and Stony Brook senior Demmianne Cook, have been named All-Americans by the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA), the organization announced Wednesday.

Etrasco, who earned IWLCA All-America honors for the second-straight year, was placed on the second team. The senior received her third consecutive All-Region honor from the IWLCA last week and is a three-time America East All-Conference First Team member. She finished with a team-high 79 points, leading Boston U. in goals (59) and assists (20).

The Massapequa, N.Y., native was one of two Terriers to register at least one point in every game this season. She ranks third in Division I with 3.69 goals per game while her 4.94 points per game are seventh in the nation

Cook, the America East Co-Player of the Year, is the second-straight Stony Brook women’s lacrosse player to earn IWLCA All-America honors, joining teammate Claire Petersen. Placed on the third team, Cook led the nation in scoring with 90 goals after breaking the school’s single-season goal record for the second-consecutive year.

The Neconset, N.Y., native was an integral part of helping the Seawolves to their first America East Championship title and first NCAA tournament victory. A two-way player, she also broke the Stony Brook record with 96 draw controls and caused a team-best 28 turnovers.

Etrasco and Cook were two of seven America East players to earn IWLCA All-Region honors last week. Cook also was a nominee for the Tewaaraton Award which honors the top women’s lacrosse player in the country.
