Just one week remains in the men's lacrosse regular season after a weekend that saw Albany, Stony Brook and Vermont pick up key wins. Albany locked up its first outright America East regular-season title since 2002 due its win over UMBC and Hartford's loss to Stony Brook. Vermont also beat Binghamton on the road. Binghamton, Hartford, UMBC, Stony Brook and Vermont all remain alive for the conference championship's three other bids.

Powered by a career-high eight goals from Ty Thompson, 10th-ranked Albany (10-3, 4-0 AE) secured the No. 1 seed for the 2013 America East Men's Lacrosse Championship with a 16-10 win over (5-7, 2-2 AE) Friday evening.
The Great Danes, winners of six straight and nine of their last 10, outscored the Retrievers, 8-3, in the second half after taking an 8-7 lead into the locker room. Ty Thompson scored six of his eight scores in the deciding half, including the 100th of his career. His cousin Lyle supplied four goals and seven assists. Matt Gregoire led UMBC with four goals.

Vermont 8, at Binghamton 7 -- Box Score
Justin Rosenberg stopped 15 of the 22 shots he faces to lead Vermont (4-9, 1-3 AE) to an 8-7 win at Binghamton (5-8, 1-3 AE) Saturday. The win keeps the Catamounts' hopes for an America East Championship bid alive.
The Catamounts, who snapped a four-game losing skid, jumped out to a 4-1 lead and never looked back. Drew Philie led Vermont with two goals and two assists. Brandon Planck's three scores paced the Bearcats, who need a win next weekend to keep its tournament hopes alive.
Stony Brook 10, at Hartford 9 (OT) -- Box Score
JJ Laforet won the overtime draw and went right down the middle for the goal as Stony Brook (6-6, 2-2) escaped with a 10-9 win over Hartford (7-5, 2-2 AE) on Saturday night at Al-Marzook Field. The win keeps the Seawolves' tournament hopes alive and prevents the Hawks from locking up a bid for another week.
The Seawolves, who snapped a three-game losing skid, outscored the Hawks 4-1 after three quarters. Jeff Tundo paced SBU with three goals, while Kevin O'Shea and Andrew Cacchio each scored three times for the Seawolves.
