CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- On the heels of winning its third America East men's basketball regular-season title in four years, Stony Brook University has swept the league's final conference awards for the 2013 season, which were announced Monday morning.

The Seawolves' Tommy Brenton averaged a double-double in leading Stony Brook to wins over two of the conference's top teams en route to earning Player of the Week honors. His teammate, Jameel Warney, took home Rookie of the Week honors for the eighth time this season.

Brenton (Columbia, Md.) did a little bit of everything in garnering his second Player of the Week honor of the season and third of his career. The senior forward averaged 10.0 points, 10.0 rebounds, 7.0 assists and 2.5 steals in wins over Boston University and Albany. Brenton recorded his sixth double-double of the year in a 71-55 victory at Boston U. Thursday and flirted with a triple-double, tallying 14 points, 13 boards and seven assists, along with three steals. He then scored six points to go with seven boards and seven more assists in a 75-70 win over Albany Sunday.

Warney (Plainfield, N.J.) averaged 12.5 points and 5.5 rebounds while shooting 68 percent of the field en route to picking up Rookie of the Week honors. The freshman forward, whose eight weekly honors are the second-most in league history, tallied 15 points on perfect 6-for-6 shooting, seven rebounds and a pair of blocks in the win over the Terriers Thursday. He then had 10 points, four boards and two assists against the Great Danes.
