LOWELL, Mass. - The finale of the eighth season of America East On Campus,
the conference’s half hour magazine show that examines what’s happening around
America East on the playing field, in the classroom and in the community and
highlights the league’s extraordinary stories, will begin airing on Monday,
March 4, on on Mid-Atlantic Sports
Network on Monday at 11 p.m.
The episode can be seen at 11 p.m. on Monday on MASN through
the Mid-Atlantic Region. The show also will have airings on Comcast Sports Net
New England and Time Warner Cable Sports in New York.
Eric Frede hosts the show from the campus of UMass Lowell in
Lowell, Mass., the newest member of the America East Conference beginning in
2013-14. The episode begins with scenes from the press conference announcement
along with interviews from members of the conference and the UMass Lowell
community.
The second segment moves on to the 2013 Men’s and Women’s
Basketball Championship, as Frede breaks down the tournament and analyzes
potential favorites and upsets, along with soundbites from players and coaches.
Frede also recaps the Indoor Track & Field and Swimming
& Diving Championships, highlighting some of the top performers, as well as
the team champions.
We also take a trip to Stony Brook and look at the America
East baseball season, recapping the Seawolves trip to the College World Series
in 2012.
The show closes at the University at Albany and a feature with
the Thompson brothers who try to lead the Great Danes to an America East men’s
lacrosse title.
America East On
Campus is produced by Cod Rock Media of Kittery, Maine, which is owned
by Frede and Dan Hannigan. Four original episodes will be produced and
distributed this year on CSN, MASN and TWCS.
The show will also be available in the All-Access section of
AmericaEast.com and on the conference's YouTube page following the debut
