Just two game days remain in the 2012-13 America East men's basketball regular season. One of those is tonight as eight teams are in action, including a matchup of the top two teams in the league standings, Stony Brook and Boston University.
Stony Brook (21-6, 12-2 AE) can secure its third outright America East regular-season title with a win tonight. The Seawolves, who have already secured at least a share of the league's regular-season crown and the top seed for the America East Championship, would also lock up an NIT bid should it not reach the NCAA tournament. The Seawolves, winner of eight of its last nine, will have to beat another hot team, the Terriers, though. Boston U. (17-11, 10-4 AE) has won six straight and nine of its last 10 to keep its hopes alive for an America East regular-season crown. The Terriers can claim a share of the league's regular-season crown with a win tonight and a Stony Brook loss Saturday.
Also on Thursday, Hartford (15-12, 8-6 AE) hosts UMBC (6-21, 4-10 AE), New Hampshire (8-18, 3-11 AE) visits Albany (20-9, 8-6 AE) and Binghamton (3-24, 1-13 AE) welcomes Vermont (18-9, 10-4 AE). All four games tip at 7 p.m.
