Three Women's Hoops Games Saturday Afternoon as Teams Battle for Seeding

CAMRBIDGE, Mass. - Three women's hoops games tip off Saturday afternoon as teams fight for seeding in the 2013 America East Championship.

New Hampshire (10-15, 5-8) enters Saturday tied with Vermont and 0.5 games ahead of Stony Brook for fourth place. The Wildcats host Binghamton (4-22, 3-10) who is tied with Maine for the seventh seed.

UMBC (10-16, 6-7) is in the driver's seat to get the No. 3 seed in the America East Championship. The Retrievers have a tough task, on the road against Boston U. (22-5, 12-2) who is looking to avoid losing back-to-back games for the first time this season. UMBC boasts the leading scorer during conference play in senior guard Raven Harris, while the Terriers have the conference's active leading scorer in Chantell Alford, who has almost 1,800 points coming into Saturday's game.

Maine (4-22, 3-10) travels to Stony Brook (13-14, 5-9) to wrap things up. The Black Bears are led by freshman Liz Wood, who leads freshmen in scoring at over 10 points per game. Stony Brook has its highest win total since 2006-07 and looks to get back in the battle for the No. 4 seed.
