Maine and New Hampshire each notched wins on Saturday while four teams are in action on Sunday in America East women's basketball.

Sigi Koiza tied the game with a layup and then hit a free throw with two seconds remaining to give the Black Bears (5-2) a, 60-59, win over Brown in the first round of the Brown Classic. Koizar finished with 11 points while Ashley Roberts led the squad with 15. Maine faces Fairfield in the Brown Classic final on Sunday at 2 p.m.

Hartford (1-7) begins the Sunday slate of games at 1 p.m. on the road at Boston College. The Hawks have a young squad that has been led by a freshman in scoring in six of the team's first eight games.

Vermont (3-3) returns to action after a week away from the court to host Central Connecticut at 2 p.m. on CatamounTV. The Catamounts earned a 95-82 win over UMass Lowell in a conference game last Sunday, notching the most points in a game by an America East team since Vermont scored 92 on Jan. 10, 2010.

Stony Brook (5-3) goes on the road to face Lafayette at 2 p.m. in the first-ever meeting between the two programs. The Seawolves are coming off a 30-point win over St. Peter's on Wednesday, their first win by 30-plus points since 2009.

New Hampshire (4-4) moved back to .500 on the season with a, 54-37, win over in-state rival Dartmouth. Kaylee Kilpatrick recorded her third double-double of the season with 10 points and 12 rebounds. The Wildcat defense held the Big Green to a season-low 23.7 percent shooting while holding a 45-37 advantage on the boards.
