Making just his second career start, UMBC's David Kadiri broke out in a big way Monday, scoring a career-best 21 points on 10-of-13 shooting to lead the Retrievers to a 64-59 win over Maryland Eastern Shore. UMBC (3-5) shot 69 percent after halftime to outscore UMES by nine in the second half.
On Tuesday, UMass Lowell (1-6) travels to St. Bonaventure in search of its second-straight win. The River Hawks beat Mount Ida Sunday for its first win as a Division I program. This is the first-ever meeting between UMass Lowell and the Bonnies.
