After a week without games, America East women's basketball returns with five games on Sunday beginning at noon.
UMBC (1-9) travels to the James Madison Tournament to take on Norfolk St. for a noon tip, hoping to break a nine-game losing skid. The Retrievers are led by one of the top freshmen in the conference in in Sara Tarbert who enters the game averaging 15.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game.
Maine (6-5) is 6-5 for the first time since 2006-07 and travels to Sacred Heart on Sunday at 2 p.m. The Black Bears are second in the conference in field goal percentage, hitting 42.1 percent of their attempts.
Hartford (3-9) heads to No. 15/17 Penn State at 2 p.m. This is the second meeting between the two teams with Penn State edging the Hawks, 71-65, in the first matchup.
Vermont (4-7) hosts former America East foe Boston University at 2 p.m. in a game that can be seen live for free on CatamounTV.
Binghamton (1-10) closes out the Sunday slate against Massachusetts at 5 p.m. as part of the Dartmouth/Blue Sky Classic.
