Albany's Lyle Thompson headlines four America East men's lacrosse standouts who were tabbed preseason All-Americans by Inside Lacrosse in its 2014 Face-Off Yearbook.

Thompson, a first-team selection, is joined by teammates Miles Thompson (third team) and Ty Thompson (honorable mention) and UMBC's Pat Young (honorable mention).

Lyle Thompson, a junior attacker, was a first-team All-American last year after having one of the best seasons a collegiate player has ever had. The Tewaaraton Award finalist and America East Player of the Year racked up 113 points on 50 goals and 63 assists, which set an America East single-season record, led the nation and finished just one point shy of the NCAA all-time mark set by UMBC's Steve Marohl in 1992.

Miles and Ty, both All-Americans, were right behind Lyle in scoring. In just 12 games, Miles accumulated 73 points on 43 goals and 30 assists en route to earning first-team All-America East honors.

Ty, a senior attacker, led America East and ranked third in the nation with 54 goals and earned second-team all-league honors.

Young, a sophomore midfielder, was America East's Rookie of the Year last season after tallying 39 points, including 32 goals, which was tied for ninth among league leaders.

In addition to the four All-Americans, Albany is tabbed 12th in the magazine's preseason poll after winning the America East title and going 13-5 last season.
