Five Teams Take The Court Friday

After a day off for Thanksgiving, five America East teams take the court on Friday including four taking part in weekend tournaments.

Stony Brook (4-2) starts the day with a 2 p.m. tip vs. Army at home on AmericaEast.TV. The Seawolves and Black Knights are meeting for the first time in 13 years. Stony Brook is coming off a 79-55 win over Morgan State where Sabre Proctor led the team with 17 points of 10-of-10 shooting from the free throw line.

Hartford (1-4) begins play at the Miami Thanksgiving Tournament on Friday against the SEC's Missouri at 3 p.m. The Hawks are trying to snap a three-game skid heading into the contest and will face either host Miami or St. Francis Brooklyn on Saturday.

UMBC (1-5) takes part in the Navy Classic this weekend, beginning with a contest against Rider at 3:30 p.m. Freshman Sara Tarbert has been the leader of a young Retriever squad, sitting second in the league in scoring at 17.5 points per game.

Maine (3-1) hosts the Black Bear Thanksgiving Tournament beginning on Friday as the Black Bears take on Massachusetts at 5 p.m. at the new Cross Insurance Center. William & Mary and Wisconsin-Green Bay play the other game in the tournament at 2 p.m. Maine is averaging 61.8 points per game and has opened the season hot from the floor with a 40.9-percent field goal mark and have gone 22-for-55 from three-point range (35.1-percent).

Binghamton (0-4) will face the host Lobos at the New Mexico Tournament in a late tip at 9 p.m. ET. The Bearcats will take on either Southeast Missouri or Arkansas on Saturday. Sherae Swinson has led Binghamton in scoring in three of the team's first four games.
