Vermont Goes For 2nd Straight Win in San Francisco

Vermont (2-5) is the lone America East men's hoops team in action on Friday and the Catamounts will look for their second-straight win when they face San Francisco at the Golden State Challenge. Tip-off is at 9 p.m. at the host Dons.

Friday's meeting will be the second ever between the two teams as Vermont is looking for its first win streak of the season. The Catamounts rallied to beat Illinois State 87-76 on the tournament's first day Wednesday. UVM trailed by as many as 18 in the game and used a decisive 20-9 run in the second half to go on to post the victory. Sandro Carissimo scored a season-high 24 points to lead the Cats.
