Albany (4-0) and Maine (3-0) look to stay perfect on the season in the only two America East women's basketball contests on Sunday.
The Black Bears are 3-0 for the first time since 1989 and will face a difficult road test at Syracuse. Maine is averaging 68.3 points per game and shooting 44.1 percent from the floor.
Albany tries to improve to 5-0 at home vs. Delaware St. in a game that will be available live for free on AmericaEast.TV. The Great Danes lead the conference in scoring at 71.5 points per game while sophomore Shereesha Richards is averaging a double-double (22.0 points, 10.5 rebounds).
There were five teams on the court on Saturday. Hartford (1-3) dropped a 63-59 decision at home to Massachusetts. The Hawks had a chance to tie the game in the closing seconds but had a jumper go off the mark. Amber Bepko led the team with 15 points.
Binghamton (0-4) sophomore Morgan Murphy scored a season-high 12 points in a 69-53 loss to Niagara. Vermont (1-3) lost to Green Bay in the TD Bank Classic title game, 74-57. UMass Lowell (0-4) fell on the road to St. Francis Brooklyn, 71-59, with Asia Mitchell leading the team with a career-high 15 points. UMBC (1-3) dropped a game to NEC favorite Robert Morris, 51-39.
