UNH Locks Up Share of #AEFH Regular-Season Title, No. 1 Seed for #AEChamps

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - For the fourth-straight year, New Hampshire will host the America East Field Hockey Championship. The Wildcats locked up at least a share of the regular-season crown with two wins over the weekend and will be the No. 1 seed for the upcoming league tournament. The Wildcats will host Albany, Fairfield and Maine all of which secured the other tournament bids over the weekend.

  • #20 UNH (11-6, 4-0 AE) beat Vermont (0-17, 0-4 AE) to lock up at least a share of the America East regular-season title and the No. 1 seed for the upcoming America East Championship. 
  • The regular-season crown is UNH's fourth straight, the third time in league history that has been achieved.
  • With the Vermont loss, Albany, Maine and Fairfield all secured bids to the America East Championship.
  • Hannah Richard and Lynne Leyman each scored twice for UNH.
