Notes
- Head coach Phil Stern is one of only three active head coaches to win an America East title (Jen Rizzotti and Katie Abrahamson-Henderson are the other two)
- 1st-year assistant coach Rich Conover joins Stern in Baltimore and is a very familiar face to the America East. Conover was head coach at Binghamton for five years from 2003-2008 and earned America East Coach of the Year accolades.
- UMBC had its second-highest seed ever in the America East tournament in 2012-13, coming in as the No. 3 seed.
- The Retrievers will boast one of the youngest rosters in the conference with just one senior, two juniors, three sophomores and six freshmen.
- Two junior transfers will join Stern's squad, including Taylor Mills, who averaged 13.3 points per game at San Diego Mesa College, and Janelle Saling, who averaged 9.8 points and 3.2 rebounds per game at Highland Community College.
