BALTIMORE - US Lacrosse announced Tuesday that University of New Hampshire head coach, Sarah Albrecht, and Boston University senior Danielle Etrasco have been named to the final 18-player U.S. Women's National Team that will compete for the 2013 Federation of International Lacrosse (FIL) World Cup July 11-20 in Oshawa, Ontario.

Albrecht, one of seven midfielders on the roster, was a member of the U.S. gold-medal team at the 2009 World Cup and was named to the FIL All-World Team in recognition of her outstanding play, which included 14 goals and three assists in seven games.

Etrasco becomes the first player in Boston U. women's lacrosse history to make the final Team USA roster, which was decided after the Champion Challenge Weekend, held January 26-27 at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Buena Vista, Fla. She is one of two current college players to make the team.

The 2013 team was selected from a 25-player U.S. women's national training team roster that was previously selected from a group of 38 players comprising the 2012-14 U.S. women's national team.

Team USA most recently competed at the Jan. 25-27 Champion Challenge, a US Lacrosse event in Lake Buena Vista, Fla., where it compiled a 3-0 record against Northwestern University, Syracuse University and the English women's national team.

Albrecht scored two goals, including the tally that gave the U.S. team the lead for good, in a 16-9 victory against Northwestern in the Champion Challenge finale. One day earlier, the first-year UNH head coach netted a team-high three goals in a 19-11 win against Syracuse. Etrasco tallied a goal in each of the games and dished out assists against Northwestern and Syracuse.

Team USA will reconvene for an exhibition against Team Canada at the 2013 US Lacrosse Women's National Tournament, May 24-26 at Lehigh University. After two training camps in Baltimore (June 26-July 2) and Buffalo, N.Y. (July 5-7), the team will travel to Oshawa for the World Cup.

Albrecht will make her head coaching debut at the helm of the Wildcats on Feb. 16 at Hofstra University. Etrasco leads Boston U. in her final season beginning on Feb. 9 at the Penn Tournament and then in the team's regular-season opener against UMass on Feb. 27 at 3 p.m.
