Coming into the day's action, home teams had gone 17-5 in men's basketball league play. That trend changed Saturday as road teams went 3-0 with Binghamton, Albany and Boston U. picking up wins.

Binghamton (3-16, 1-5 AE) picked up its first league win with a 57-56 triumph over Maine (7-11, 2-4 AE) in Orono. Trailing by two in the waning seconds, Jimmy Gray sank a three-pointer from the left side with 2.0 seconds left give his team a one-point lead and Jon Mesghna's long heave hit the back of the rim as the Bearcats snapped their 11-game losing skid. Gray finished with 14 points for Binghamton, while Jordan Reed recorded a double-double of 20 points and 11 boards.  Justin Edwards paced Maine, which has dropped three straight, with 12 points and six boards.

Albany (16-4, 5-1 AE) moved into a tie atop the league standings with Vermont following its 56-46 win at Hartford (10-9, 3-3 AE). The Great Danes, winners of four straight, outscored the Hawks, 29-14, in the second half and held them to just four second-stanza field goals. Sam Rowley and Peter Hooley, who both entered the starting lineup just four games ago, combined for 35 points and 20 rebounds with Hooley going for 18 and 12 and Rowley scoring 17 and grabbing eight boards. Yolonzo Moore had 17 of his 18 points in the first half to pace the Hawks, who have dropped three straight.

Boston U. (9-10, 3-3 AE) evened up its league record with a 69-59 win at New Hampshire, its third in its last four games. The Terriers shot 53 percent from the field and made 8-of-16 tries from three-point land against a UNH team that came into the game ranked among the nation's best in three-point field goal percentage. Dom Morris led four Terriers in double figures with a game-high 18 points. Maurice Watson added 13 while Malik Thomas and Travis Robinson each had 11. Patrick Konan paced UNH, which has lost eight straight, with 16 points.
