CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - As teams continue their first swing
through the conference schedule, several important early season match-ups
highlight Saturday afternoon.
New Hampshire (6-10, 1-3) hosts red hot Boston University
(15-3, 5-0) in a game that will be broadcast regionally on Fox College Sports at 2 p.m. The Terriers have won 12-straight games, which is the
fourth-longest current winning streak in the nation.
Albany (13-3, 4-0) hosts Hartford (12-6, 3-2) in a battle of
Mid-Major Top-25 teams at 2 p.m. The Great Danes have dominated in their first
four conference games, winning by an average of 36.5 points per game. Since
losing their first two conference games, the Hawks have bounced-back to win
three straight and returned starting guard Amber Bepko from injury the last
time out.
Vermont (6-11, 3-1) and Stony Brook (10-7, 2-2) also tip at
2 p.m. The Catamounts have put together back-to-back wins and sit third in the
conference heading into Saturday's action. Meanwhile Stony Brook has its first
10-win season since 2009-10 and is looking to continue its strong play under
Beth O'Boyle. The Seawolves are second in the conference in rebounding margin
at +5.9.
Sunday has just one game in action with Maine (1-16, 0-4)
hosting Binghamton (2-16, 1-4) at Alfond Arena.
